JOB DESCRIPTION:

Elite Engineering is seeking a Class A CDL Lowbed equipment driver to support construction operations by loading/unloading and transporting large equipment. Applicants should be capable of performing light maintenance work on trailers, air/hydraulic lines, etc. Your duties involve physically demanding general construction labor while operating specialized trucks and earthmovers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operate a Class A vehicle according to company policy and with utmost adherence to the safety policy and procedures
  • Daily transport large scale equipment via low bed equipment trailer
  • Experience operating various types of construction equipment
  • Conduct daily pre and post-trip inspections
  • Clean and wash interior and exterior of driven vehicle
  • Attend safety meetings scheduled by management
  • Demonstrate the ability to be flexible and work according to customer needs
  • Cooperate with Elite Engineering employees and customers
  • The driver may need to assist with job site related labor (clean-up work, debris removal, loading and unloading material)
  • Position may require overtime and weekend hours
  • The position will require wearing long work pants, work boots and safety gear
  • The position will require the individual to lift, bend and stand regularly as well as walk on uneven terrain such as slopes
  • Exposure on a regular basis to outdoor weather conditions, noise, dust, and debris from construction sites
MINIMUM SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must have valid California Commercial Class A license
  • Two years’ experience driving a Class A vehicle with a low bed equipment trailer
  • Two years minimum relevant experience in the construction industry
  • Clean Driving Record (no points on driving record)
  • Applicants must have reliable transportation
  • The equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus, but not required
  • Applicant must provide eligibility documentation to work in the US
  • Pay is based on experience
