JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Shoring Foreman is in charge of the daily activities on the job, including operating the LoDril supervising a crew of 2 -10 laborers. The Shoring Foreman is responsible for reading blueprints, performing layouts, ensuring quality, production, cost control, and schedule while maintaining a safe work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage job site for the current project by directing team, preparing materials, tools, and equipment
  • Operate LoDril drill rig at job sites
  • Read blueprints and perform layout
  • Perform multiple inspections throughout the day on equipment to check and maintain proper fluid levels, the performance of the equipment, etc.,
  • Reports equipment needs and hazards as needed
  • Perform continuous safety checks on equipment (seat belt, fire extinguisher, lights, etc.) to ensure equipment is working properly and safely.
  • The survey, evaluates and takes measures to ensure the work area is safe. (powerlines, utilities, co-workers, etc.)
  • Inspects all attachments to the machinery to ensure that they are operational and takes the appropriate steps to correct
  • Follows work order instructions
  • Ensures that the job site is left in a safe condition
  • Assists with ground duties
  • Trains others to assist with signaling and other ground duties
  • Comply with all company policies, regulatory safety regulations, and code requirements
  • Notify the Project manager of unanticipated field changes and suggest possible alternatives
  • Restore job site to conditions found prior to beginning work
  • Operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment safely at all times
  • Report vehicle and equipment maintenance requirements to the construction manager
  • Repair damaged equipment as directed by the construction manager
  • Maintain a valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
  • Work in the field on non-drill related projects as needed
  • Assist in minor maintenance of drill rig equipment
  • Position may require overtime and weekend hours
MINIMUM SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must have two experience with hillside grading and know the capabilities of a machine
  • Experience in the geotechnical construction industry is preferred
  • Familiar with tying mesh & rebar for retaining walls is preferred
  • Applicants must have reliable transportation
  • The equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus, but not required
  • Applicant must provide eligibility documentation to work in the US
  • Pay is based on experience
