JOB DESCRIPTION:

Demolition Laborers will be an essential part of the Elite Engineering team and be treated with the respect you deserve. Laborers will do a variety of tasks involving various construction work. Some of the things you might be doing include: Operating hand tools of all types, clean up rubble, debris, and other waste materials. Work with team to assist loading, unloading of building materials, machinery, tools, and equipment. Digging ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compacting. You will be leveling earth to grade specifications by using picks, shovels, tampers, rakes. Willing to work as part of a team, learn how to operate power tools and equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • General clean-up
  • Digging
  • Soft and hard demolition
  • Heaving lifting
  • Loading/unloading materials
  • Position may require overtime and weekend hours
  • The position will require wearing long work pants, work boots and safety gear
  • The position will require the individual to lift, bend and stand regularly as well as walk on uneven terrain such as slopes
  • Exposure on a regular basis to outdoor weather conditions, noise, dust, and debris from construction sites
MINIMUM SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Two years minimum experience in the construction industry
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • An equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus, but not required
  • Pay is based on experience
